Requirements & Terms

1. Operational Area of use:
Vehicles are to be driven within and must be confined to the following boundries: Bundaberg (North) Ballina (South) Dalby (West).

All rentals are subject to 200 per day kilometer range unless otherwise indicated on the rental agreement. Excess kilometers will be charged @ 25 Cents per Kilometer.

2.  Rental Duration:
1 Rental Day is 24 Hours from the commencement of the rental. Extra hours are charged at 1/3rd of the daily rate until the full daily rate is reached.

3. Drivers Requirements
Must hold a valid current open drivers license and a valid credit card unless previously organized with Asset Car Hire Staff. Open International and overseas licenses are welcome.

All drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older and those between the ages of 21 to 25 are restricted to the type of vehicle they can hire and are charged a daily age surplus.

Additional drivers must be nominated on the rental agreement and have presented their current drivers licence as per the above requirement.

4. Payment
All rates are shown are in Australian Dollars ($AU)

Payment in full is required at time of arrival.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Bankcard.

Airport fee of $28 applies to all airport bookings

5.  Satelite Navigation
All passenger vehicles are fitted with a mobile satellite navigation system. This must be returned with the vehicle at the completion of the rental period.

6. Roadside Assistance
All vehicles are covered by RACQ 24 Hour Roadside Assistance for unforeseen mechanical breakdowns. Please be aware that a Human Error call out will incur a call out fee. An example of this would be keys locked in a vehicle or out of fuel.

7.  Child Restraints
Booster / child seats, if available from $3 per day. These should be ordered at time of booking.

8. Fuel
Asset Car Hire has a Full Tank Policy and all vehicles should be returned with the same. A Service Fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned without a full tank.

9. Vehicle Capacity and Fitness to Drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry any more passengers than the vehicle is legally registered to carry.

Asset Car & Ute hire can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person deemed to be unfit or does not meet the eligibility requirements.

10. Collision Damage Liabilty
All of our vehicles are covered by full comprehensive insurance. The hirer is given the benefit of this coverage subject to the conditions of vehicle hire.

There is a Standard Liability Excess Rate of $2750 in the event of an accident with another vehicle.

This liability can be reduced by paying waiver fee of $14 per day which reduces your Standard Liability Excess Rate to $250.

21 to 24 Year old Hirers will incur an additional excess of $500 and must pay a waiver fee of $22 per day.

Any single vehicle accident will be charged at $2750 regardless of the waiver payment (plus Age Excess).

Please be advised that all overhead, undercarriage, water, hail damage, abuse, negligence, windscreen and tyre damage - however caused - is at the hirer's risk and is not covered by the Standard Liability Damage Waiver.

Please note that all insurance is void if the rental vehicle is driven on any unsealed, unmarked or undefined road or submerged in any amount of water.

11. Refunds
48 hours notice is required.

12. Cancellations
Over 48hrs notice - No Fee, Under 48hrs notice – 1 days charge, No Show – Full Payment.
